Heidi's Story
Life
Gosh, it's been 20 years!! That's amazing. Well, I got married at the age of 20 and moved to be with my sailor (Gary) in San Diego. We were transferred to Oak Harbor, WA, then decided to get out of the Navy. We returned home for a year and discovered we were pregnant. So, back to the Navy we go. We were stationed in Norfolk, VA where our son, Caleb was born on Halloween, 1991. We remained there for about 13 years during which time our daughter, Erin was born also in October of 1995. We longed to come home as my mom's health was failing as was his step-fathers. We got our wish in 2002. We were transferred to Brunswick NAS in Maine. d have the chance to say goodbye. I currently work at Sabattus Central School as an Ed Tech II in the Day Treatment Program. I work with teens that have emotional disabilities. I truly love my job. My husband recently returned from his 4th six month cruise. He's back in VA and plans to retire March 2007. Yeah!! My son Caleb is almost an Eagle Scout and is going to high school in the fall. He loves skateboarding, hunting, and sports. My daughter Erin is a Girl Scout and is going into the 5th grade. She's funny and beautiful. Oh, Caleb is taller than me at 5'2'', as I'm only 4'10''. Erin's creeping up on me also. We live on 3 acres in the country. It's beautiful here. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. We work hard and play hard. Well, I'd love to hear from you guys!! Take care.
