Heidi's Story
Life
My sister introduced me to my husband in 1986 at a pancake breakfast in her community. I was living in Utah at the time, but over visiting with her for the 4th of July weekend. After moving to northern California to be closer to my sister, Karl and I reconnected. We have been married now for almost 16 years. Between us we have his, hers and ours children. His are 36 (Kara) and 31 (Trevor) (he started young), mine is 23 (EJ) and ours (Grace) is 10. We have two dogs (labs), two cats and three goldfish. out a half an hour from the closest town. We live on four acres with a beautiful view of a canyon right out our back door. After years of trying to figure out what I wanted to do when I grew up, I finally seem to have found my niche. I have my own office in Placerville where I do integrated massage therapies. Fortunately, I am able to work part time, a couple of days a week, which leaves me time to be mom, wife, artist, quilter, and gardener. We have a small orchard with 13 fruit trees and gardens with berries, tomatoes and herbs...along with lots of flowers.
