Heidi's Story

I've led a pretty normal life since leaving high school. I got my AA immediately after high school, then attended USF for about a year; but got frustrated and decided to work full time. After working at an office supply joint for almost 5 years (working almost every job there), I eventually landed a technology job at Capital One (it was a fluke - I started out in customer service). I worked there for 6 years, got laid off, and then landed a sweet IT Consulting job at HSBC. I got burned out with IT and changed careers by taking a procurement job at PwC in 2006. Unfortunately, as of 12/09 I'm unemployed due to layoffs at PwC. I decided to return to ...Expand for more
school with the time off. I only have 4 classes left for my B.A. in Public relations. I married in early 2005 to Mitch Springer...yes - my FIRST marriage! We met indirectly through his brother who worked with me at Capital One. Mitch works for the Hillsborough County water dept. A long time Tampa resident as well, he graduated in '93 from Leto. I have managed to travel somewhat, was in a band in the late-90s for a spell, which was also kind of a fluke (and a long story)...but I LOVED it! I guess I'll always have a fantasy to be a singer or dancer. Some of my closer friends know I used to love to be on a stage doing anything to entertain people.
