Helma's Story
After graduating from WCSH, I attended and graduated from(miraculously) Erlanger School of Nursing, passed the nursing boards (miraculously), and worked in the ER at Erlanger for a few years. I then moved to Nashville where I worked mostly in Critical Care. I met my husband, Jerry in Nashville while he was in residency at Vanderbilt. We will be celebrating our 30th anniversary in May. (Lots of money lost on that bet.)

d found that I really do prefer taking care of people who have been torn apart rather than tearing people's lives apart. Go figure.
We have two children: Jerrod, who turned 25 in August, and Kirsten, who will be 23 in February. Both kids graduated from college and moved straight out to Los Angeles. (Was it something I said?) So, currently, I'm scouting for grandchildren to adopt.
Since becoming empty nesters, Jerry and I have found that we love to entertain. We now live in north Atlanta, so we have a fair amount of company. Keep us in mind if you're in the area.
