Herb's Story
I was born in Omaha, NE. I attended Pratt School of Individual Instruction for several years. I moved away from Omaha several months after graduation in 1967, but I have returned several times over the years for short times. I consider Omaha home but I have lived several places in the USA. I remember Mrs. Pratt and her son Francis and especially her daughter Mrs. Kent. When I started at Pratt it was in an old house located behind Farnam and Dodge streets. I see now with my most recent visits that is all gone now. Shame I don't have any pictures. If they had known then what we know now I probably would have been diagnosed with a lear...Expand for more
ning disability, most likely ADD or ADHD. Luckily for me I was never medicated. I enjoyed the 1960s and travelled widely, I would cross paths every so often in those travels with a classmate from Pratt, I even worked with a fellow for a while when I returned to Omaha in the early 1970s for a brief time. I was born in 1949, so I am getting up there. I still work and plan on working for several more years, then if I can I would like to start travelling again.
