Jim works for Polycom and has been involved in the design and integration of innovative electronic systems for more than twenty-five years. Jim has been published in the ICIA/InfoComm reissue of the Wadsworth classic ¿The Basics of Audio and Visual Systems Design¿, The BICSI AV Design Reference Manual, and was awarded full "Faculty Instructor" status by InfoComm International. Jim teaches courses nationally regarding the integration of conference technology into meeting environments. He was heavily involved in the development of the PictureTel and Polycom Certified Videoconferencing Engineer testing and certification program, and developed the audio and video curriculum for that program. At PictureTel from 1990, he designed the System 4000 audio system electronics, telephone interfaces, cameras and various other subsystems.
