Herbert's Story
Graduated in 1974 Mater Dei, graduated 1980 SIU Carbondale Degree Agronomy, worked 2.5 years with the Soil Conservation Service, worked 3.5 Eagle Bank in the Agricultural Department, not a good place to be at that time! Met my future wife Linda Rolfingsmeyer there she was a 1975 Central graduate. We married Labor Day weekend 1985. On March 15 1987 started working for Madison Service Company this is an FS Member Company. ger, custom applicator, anhydrous ammonia plant supervisor, etc etc. After I retired from there went to work for CHS Cenex Harvest States, have been there for 7.5 years..
My wife and I have two children, Megan who is an RN and Jared who is Project Engineer. My daughter has 6 children the last 3 being triplets who recently turned 1 year old.
In my spare time I study my family history and was able to locate my Great-granfathers brothers family in Germany I have been there twice and they have visited the US on seversl occasions.
