Hilda's Story
Life
Since, I left high school I have traveled around the world while serving my country. During my travels I made many friends which I will never forget, and I hope that someday we will meet again.
I am divorced. I have one son Edwin and two granddaughters Adalia Renee and Casca Celeste. I also have two step-grandsons James and Michael Higdon and two step-granddaughters Johnna and Belinda Higdon. They are my pride and joy. My son is now out of the military and works for Tesla in Austin, Texas..
I take each day as a new learning experience, and look forward to what tomorrow may bring.
The countries I have visited are: Japan, Korea, Philippines, Alaska, Hawaii, Germany, Italy, France, Turkey, Spain, Switzerland, Bahamas and Panama.
School
My favorite teacher was the Miss Gatlin "Art Teacher". I was very upset when she left Emerson to take care of her sick relative. My second favorite was Mrs. Masters. She was the best Orchestra/B...Expand for more
and teacher I ever had. She was awesome. I regret being a smart mouth to Miss Garuskas when she was trying to teach me French. Needless to say, I used some of what I learned in her class when I went to Paris, France.
Military
I joined the USAF in Feb 1977. I spent 11 years of my life in the military. I served 9 years as an Aircraft Electrical Systems Technician and 2 years as a Medical Service Technician. I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan; Ramstein AB, Germany; Torrejon AB, Spain; Chanute AB, IL, Beale AFB, CA; Shepphard AFB, TX; MacDill AFB, FL. I travel on temporary assignments to Taegu AB, Korea; Misawa, Japan; Almendorf AFB, AL; Clark AB, Philipines; Saragoza AB, Spain; Incirlik AB, Turkey; and the Hilatian Islands in Alaska. As a military spouse I lived in Shaw AFB, SC and Homestead AFB, FL and travel with my husband to Paris, France; Aviano, Italy and Panama City, Panama. I full filled my dreams to travel the world with the Air Force.
