Hildy's Story
Workplace
I worked for Grand Valley Schools as a secretary until 1986. I then went to work for Bank One in the retail operations department. When that job left, I went to customer service for the bank. I wouldn't rank the customer service experience as one of my favorite jobs. of illness I left. When I had recovered, I decided not to return to the work force. I enjoyed being home to much and not having to drive in the winter.
Since 1997 I have been the secretary for my husband's business. He is an owner-operator of a big rig and I handle all the paperwork etc. I enjoy going to my grandchildren's sporting events, gardening and playing pinochle with my neighbors one day every week.
