Holly's Story
Since graduating from high school I completed my BA and teaching credential from San Diego State, along with a MA in Education and an Administrative Credential. I have had two careers. One in youth agency work for 18 years as a camp administrator and one in public education as a teacher and administrator for 17 years. I am now retired and recently completed a MA in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and now I am working on completing my dissertation for my PhD. After leaving Pasadena for college I lived in San Diego for 7 years, moved to Sacramento and lived there for 29 years and then moved to Santa Paula (10 miles inland from Ventura) for the past 8 years. ore than 1 child, I did not expect to be single for 28 years and I did not expect to have two careers. My father passed away 17 years ago and my mother is 98 and still active in a retirement community in So. California. My mother sold the home I grew up in on Glen Summer Rd. about 15 years ago. I occasionally drive through the old neighborhood just for old times sake. My three older brothers are getting very old, unlike myself, and live in Ventura, Orange County, and Arizona. I remember fondly my childhood schooldays, especially with those that I went to elementary school through high school with. I hope all are well and are having a pretty good life. Overall, I am a happy person, enjoy life and feel blessed for the family and good friends, both past and present that life have given me.
