Hope's Story
Life
We have moved back to Orland from Grants Pass, Or. I've been married since April "95" to my second husband Ray (Hamilton class 90). I have one child Cameron from my first marriage to Brian Lacroix(WHS class 87). I have 2 stepchildren Curtis & Kortney from Ray's first marriage to Carrie Lynn (Wellman-Belew-Thomas) Ocheltree she still lives in Orland(Orland High/Willows Community?). I did work at the Glenn County Jail as a Correctional Officer until August 2003. Unfortunately I did see Willows High alumni, at/in the jail. Ray & I had our first child together 9-25-01, We named her Baylie Renee. We moved to Grants Pass, Or. in Nov. 2003 for Ray's job & we loved it there. We moved back to Orland in March 2007 because of family health issues. A little while after we moved back I found out I was pregnant with our second child, unfortunately I lost the baby in July at about 14 weeks. 6 months later I was pregnant again with the same outcome. Apparently my body doesn't have enough of the hormone to support a pregnancy. So I would have to take medication to help with that next time. I keep in touch with a few friends from school, at least the ones that I know where they are. I wish I could find a few others but don't know where to start looking. It is amazing how we have all grown and changed. I'm also on myspace and I check my email there mor...Expand for more
e often then I come here. I just come here every once in awhile hoping to find friends on here that weren't here before.
School
Biggest crush??? That is something I don't think about because my biggest crush died in an accident his Senior year. I still miss him a lot. The teacher that inspired me was Phil Dunning. I would do high school all over again but I would only do it if I could know then what I know now. My craziest memory is when my best friend Shonna Barney and I stayed at her house with her brother Steve when her parents were out of town. Well there was a party there that night and Shonna and I got found out by my Mom the next morning. To this day we still don't know how she found out. Everytime I think of high school I think of the fun I had with Shonna and Steve.
College
I studied Law Enforcement in hopes of becoming a Police Officer. I became a Correctional Officer for Glenn County & I worked there for over 3 1/2 years. There are many things I loved about that job but the bad things out weighed them. I am glad I did do what I had dreamed about. I am no longer in that line of work & thinking of a new career. I have to put my family first & Law Enforcement makes it very hard to do that when your working 12 hour rotating shifts. I have went back to school & I am now looking at getting a AA in Pre-Law. We'll just have to see.
