Howard's Story
Life
Hi all.
I am living in McGrath, Alaska with my wife and three animals. We were working for Alaska Commercial Company But have since moved on to jobs that do not run our lives. I am working for the University of Alaska at Fairbanks' Interior Aleutians Campus in McGrath.
It has been quite the trip..Life that is.
We own a home in Wasilla, AK, but rarely get to stay there since it is a plane trip away.
The village we live in is only accessable by plane(yearound one flight a day to Anchorage), dogsled or snowmachine (winter, 250+ miles is a long way), or by boat(summer, Even a longer way to travel if trying to get to Anchorage!). It is a very beautiful village on the bank of the Kuskokwim River.
We do a lot of boating, fishing, hunting, and snowmahining. The Iditarod Dog Sled Race comes through our village in March.
We plan on staying in this village for at least 3 more years and seeing where the wind blows us next.

nterior. We have taken trips to Argentina, Italy, and Morocco. We still have to go to asia, Australia and Antarctica (we have some leads on work there!!) in order to have set foot on all continents.
School
Had a huge crush all through school on a cheerleeder. One day, as I was limping along on crutches due to a football injury, I saw her putting up posters. I hobbled over and started helping her.
Once we had all of the posters put up, we just stopped and looked at one another. Without saying a word, we embraced one another and had kissed.
We were both involved with other people, so nothing ever came of it.
I wonder if she ever thinks of that kiss?
College
I went to Appalachian State University, Calwell Community College and TI, University of NC at Charlotte, Unc at Wilmington, Cape Fear Com College.
I am currently a coordinator for the Univ of Alaska at Fairbanks.
Workplace
Quit working my life away at Alaska Commercial Company. Now working for the University of Alaska at Fairbanks.
Military
Too much fun!! I miss the old times.
