After 7 years I moved to Denver and worked on the USGS program of Remote Sensing of the earth for geologic mapping. Seven years after that I moved to the Washington D C area and worked on structural geologic mapping of the Appalachian fold belt, including mapping structures related to oil and gas deposits.
After18 more years I retired and went to work as an artist-blacksmith making gates, railings, architectural hardware and almost anything else that customers wanted me to make.
Along the way I married my present wife, and we raised three daughters and helped to raise four grandchildren.
