I J's Story
Life
After Jordan High, I attended LBCC for two years. US Air Force 1967-1971. I currently live south of Carson City, Nevada, in Gardnerville. I retired in 1968. I received an A.A. in Political Science from LBCC, a B.A. in Political Science from CSU Long Beach and a M.A. in Educational Administration from CSU Bakersfield. I have also attended classes through UCLA, UC Santa Cruz, CSU Fresno, Rogue Community College and Fresno Pacific.
My wife, Carol, is from San Carlos, California.
Workplace
I currently am a retired superintendent, principal, and teacher for a two school district in the Sierras east of Porterville, CA. I had surgery for Ocular Melanoma at UCLA. Melanoma was found in the left eye. Almost eight years later, the cancer has returned. My primary care is through the VA Reno facility and our small VA clinic in Gardnerville. As we all become more "mature", please get the care and help you need to stay healthy.
I miss teaching, but my health issues prevent returning to the classroom. I do spend time remembering - ping pong with Susan C., Friday Nighters with Susan T., Virginia V., Donna C., Christine B., the Canteen with Art H., Mike K., Mark H., and ... So much and so many special times and special people. I wish that I had had better social skills. I would have reall;y like to have known many of you better.
