Ian's Story
After MOHS, i went to Albany NY area and did the combined 6-yr pre-med/med program at RPI and Albany Medical College, graduating in May 1989.
i moved to FL and did internship and residency at Jackson Memorial Hosp in Miami from 1989 - 1992.
then, started office practice in Internal Medicine in Homestead, FL in July of 1992. . . 6 weeks later came Hurricane Andrew. . . and both offices were destroyed. worked out of a trailer for 6 months before relocating to Plantation, FL in a new office. . .
met my lovely wife Dena at this office, we got engaged on Valentines Day, 1996 and married on May 25, 1997. she had two girls with her first husband -- Malynda is now 25 and Katie ...Expand for more
is now 20!
then, we had two boys -- Joshua is 10 and Andrew is 8
in addition to medicine, my other full-time job is professional Scrabble. . . came in 6th in the National Championship in Orlando, 2008!! clinging to the top rating in FL as of now. . . play about 5-7 tournaments per year, but it doesn't pay much. . . more info about my scrabble career is available on the website cross-tables.com
other interests include poker, bridge, running 5K's, table tennis, salt-water aquariums, and the quest for prajna (insight-wisdom). . .
living in sunny FL, i don't miss NJ tooo much, but i do miss many people and friends. . . keep in touch !!
