Life I was divorced almost 4 years ago after about 12 years of marriage. My husband decided he wanted to trade me in for someone younger...I don't know, who ever knows truly why someone divorces someone else. He has since been remarried and about to have his 2nd baby with her. I never thought I would ever be in this place in my life now, and yet you always find a way to get through. I have two girls, ages 15 and 14. They are my angels, TRULY! I homeschool them, and I have from the very beginning. They have never seen a "real" school before, and I intend on homeschooling them all the way through high school. We are part of a great homeschooling group and we get every advantage that everyone else does. We have group field trips, official school pictures and I.D. cards, group outings, and graduation ceremonies. We are not a charter school though, and we don't use public school curriculum at all. I chose all my own curriculum through private sources that cater to homeschoolers like us. My mom lives with me, and she helps me greatly. I have also begun working for the first time since I was about 17. I am currently employed with a Job Corps center near me as a Residential Advisor. I am looking for other work right now though. I am also now in the pursuit of a degree in Christian Counseling. My goal is to be able to open my own practice someday and be able to support us all that way.
