Ida's Story
It's amazing how quickly the years have passed since High School.
After graduation I went to work for the Provincial Government, worked there for five years, left to raise my family of three children, two daughters and one son. I stayed home with them for three years then went back to work for the Government until I retired in 1999. Oh yes, I was married first.... to the love of my life. We had a good marriage, lots of love and laughter, for thirty-four years. Then I lost my beloved husband to cancer. My children all went to University, and never looked back at the Soo. My eldest daughter eventually married and had two children, my second daughter is ...Expand for more
a Supervisor at Childrens Aid in Ottawa, and my son became a Lawyer, married a lawyer and they have two children. Unfortunately I lost my eldest daughter to breast cancer June 25, 2007. The children now live in Ottawa and Toronto, which gives Gord and I a reason to be travelling.
After my husband died, I became re-acquainted with a high school sweetheart of sorts. He had lost his wife, and we started out giving each other comfort, and it eventually led to a twelve year relationship, that is still going strong. Some of you may remember him, Gordon Hunter, (one of the Trojans).
We are happy and comfortable, and quite involved with his children and mine.
