ilene's Story
I spent 30 years living in Oklahoma, finished my college education, hired to work for the Oklahoma State Banking department for 25 years as a Legal Assistant for 10 years and a Bank Examiner for 15 years. I loved my life in OK and had many amazing experiences. Then I retired, returned to CA but moved to Northern Cal. Residing here for 10 years, started two businesses, working on a third, member of two Chambers and sit on the Board and sit on a soccer club board. I attend Destiny Community Church, am active in the development of Destiny Community Center to create funds for all the non-profit activities that it provides for children who need assistance. We provide theater, dance, and after school programs and more. I spend time with my seven grandchildren, ages 13-24, of course, as they have aged I spend less time with them *smile*. Life is good. ng wherever He calls me to. What is absolutely funner is that since I've returned to CA I get to see and spend more time with my siblings, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, which I absolutely love and adore every minute spent in their presence. Currently, my friend June and I co-lead a Bible Study in nearby town. The group calls themselves the Bible Babes LOL! But this I say in truth, they are Prayer Warriors! Aside from that, I have a cat, Sophia Maria Gatita and a Build-A-Bear (stuffed bear) whom I name dAlejandro Diego. These two keep me on my toes. *smile* I am a member of a referral group that meets weekly and I am a Director Consultant within the organizational structure. It's a lotta fun, too. I love my CA life and am looking forward to many more God Adventures. I'd love to hear back from y'all, my high school classmates. May the Lord Bless You and Make His Face to Shine Upon You.
