Irene's Story
Life
Started working for a dentist right after graduation. In 1950 I married Al Varney, just starting his or our 20 tour of duty in the Air Forcr.
Had two children. A boy and girl. They both graduated from Bourne High School on Cape Cod.
I loved moving around in the service. Enjoyed each and everyplace. We returned to Bournee after 20 years and Al became Veteran's agent for the town. We divorced in 1975 and I renarried four years later. My dear husband was a graduating

at Waltham High but before 1947. He was a marine in WW11. We moved to the Cape and had twenty-four wonderful years together until he suddenly died on 9/11/04. He would so have loved to see the Red Sox win the World Series that year.
I now live with a really neat family...my daughter, Sharon, her dh and my only grandchild who turns eighteen in October. Is in her Junior year at Cape Cod Academy.
