Iris's Story
I attended Union City Elementary School from 4th-7th grade and Campbell High School 8th and 1/2 of 9th grade, with primarily the same students.. During the December break of my 9th grade, our family moved to Paulding County, Georgia where we lived for 1 1/2 years and then moved to Douglas County Georgia. d went and talked to the school board and I ended up being the first married student to attend Campbell High in Fairburn; I graduated May 20 of that year with many of the kids I had attended grade school with,even going to Washington DC in the 7th grade as a school patrol.
I have 4 children, born 1965, 1967, 1970 and 1972 - all "middle age" adults now; 13 grandchildren. After living out-of-state since 1984, my husband and I moved back to Georgia in 2017.
