Life After 16 years of being an x-ray tech and medical assistant, I switched careers and became a science teacher in South Central L.A. Not as bad as I thought, but things could be smoother in another section of the city. Backtracking, after finally receiving my A.A. at East L.A. College in '89 and a biology degree (worked 3 jobs to support myself and family while going to school) at Cal State L.A. in '96, I decided to move back to Prineville. I worked in Madras for a couple years then with Dr. Sproat for a year (best 2 jobs I ever had compared to L.A.). I'm still looking into medical school, but had to make big money fast, hence the teaching job (via emergency credential) My mom still lives in Prineville (dad passed away April 2020) and my brother moved to Korea from Japan with his wife and 2 children, but now lives 20 minutes from Washington DC and works for the government. I have a master's degree in education (with an emphasis in culture, language, and development). In September of 2007, I transferred to Bravo Medical Magnet High School.
