Jean Paul 's Story
Life
I'm a "spec" home builder living in Spring Grove, IL. I started my own company in December of 1989 (you can check out newclassichomes. net). My dad and sister are still in Lombard. In fact my sister married Mike Tyszkiewicz, a fellow Willowbrook, and St. A's grad. Fairly bummed that I lost touch with everyone from school when I moved North back in 1990. I was able to stay in touch with a couple friends from the old neighborhood, but not many. Like I said, kind of a bummer.
I've been married since 1994, to the former Theresa Laack, a young lady who worked at my bank. We have two great kids. Our son Peter (named after my father) was born 4/10/02 with a knack for baseball, and the sunniest disposition, our daughter Sydney was born 1/5/04, with a little bit of an attitude and a knack for destruction. I think she's gonna be a handful...lol.
My current passion, besides my kids, is playing baseball. I joined an adult hardball league in 2003. It's a bunch of 20,30 and forty-somethings getting together on Sundays fo...Expand for more
r baseball, brew and BS. It's an absolute blast.
Workplace
One thing my parents taught me was that if you want something, get out there and work for it. Man, back then an occasional monetary boost woulda been nice though. I mean it kinda sucked during high school to bust my ass at low paying part time jobs, just so I could drive a beater car, and crawl under it in sub-zero temps to fix it. A little offer of college help would been nice too, but hey, it did instill a certain fire.
I think the reason I was a bit of a malcontent in school, was I don't particularly like someone telling me what to do all the time, or dancing to someone else's tune, so to speak. I think it's just the way I'm wired. The trait has been a blessing but occasionally a curse. I am fortunate that since late 1989 I've been running my own business, and doing it well I think (pats own back). You can check out a little biopic and a little bit of what I've been up to at newclassichomes. net
Peace ;)
