J.R.'s Story
Life
Hello to everyone who may read this. I realize that I have not been on this site as much as I could be but I'm still curious to find out how my fellow classmates are doing. Life in the past 10 years since high school has thrown several curveballs at me that has made life challenging. I'm still attending school today at the University of Idaho with studies in Journalism/Mass Media, History and Communication Studies. If only I had more time I'd consider going for a graduate degree but I am ready to finish and to hopefully be working in my dream job as a sports play-by-play announcer. The biggest change in my life has just happened recently as in September 2008 my mother died. She was diagonsed with cancer in August and left this world at the age of 52. Life sense my mom's passing has been the most difficult that I never thought I would understand, until now. I miss her with all my heart and wish I would have had more time with her....Expand for more
Many of my most important goals on my to-do list is not finished and to know my mom is no longer here to share hurts me as much as I'm sure she would have felt the same, but at least I know wherever she may be that she always loved me and she is truly in a much better place. I'll update more later, but this is the new story of my life. To all of you I knew in high school and still remember, I am very grateful for finding this website so that I can start keeping in touch again. I also hope many of you still remember me. I'm still shy and reserved at times, and when I think back at how I was in school I regret being that way, but all I tried to do was protect myself because I know kids can sometimes be cruel to each other, but it hurt me so deep and I feared every person I contacted might act that way. I can't change what happened but all I can do is make a new start. Talk to you all later, and take care of yourselves. Sincerely, J.R.
