Jace's Story
After graduating from Piedmont High School in 1969, I attended university in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, (where I was born), and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Business) degree majoring in finance and economics.
I joined Gulf Oil (Gulf Canada Products) in 1974, and was transferred to Vancouver, B.C. in 1976 where I met my wife, Lucy (a nurse).
We were married in 1977 on Hanalei Bay, Kauai, by a Hawaiian minister and his wife. Our first daughter, Angela, was born in 1979. We were transferred back to Calgary shortly after Angela was born, and in 1981, we had our second daughter, Carly. Gulf Oil moved us back to Vancouver in 1981, and then back to Calgary in 1983, where we remained until retirement in 2009.

any in 1992. I am the sole shareholder of the company now, and joined another group of planners in 2004. In 2009, I retired to Ontario.
Lucy was the manager of Burns & Plastics at Foothills Hospital in Calgary. She retired in May, 2009. Lucy loves gardening, and is a rose aficionado. She has published several articles for the Calgary and Canadian Rose Society, and co-authored a rose book that won an International prize which was awarded in South Africa.
We moved to Tobermory, Ontario in 2009, and built a timber frame home on Lake Huron. As of April, 2014, our daughter, Carly, who lives in Hamilton, Ontario, gave us our first granddaughter, Madeline (Maddie) Elise Weir. On June 25th, 2016, Carly gave birth to a boy, Blaise Lenehan Giesinger. We are thrilled to have grandchildren, and have them so close to us.
