Jack's Story
In 1965 I started a 30 year career in the aviation industry in central Kansas. I was drafted in 1966 and started my US Army duty Jan 3, 1967. I spent all of 67 on the East coast and was the first US troop on the street in Washington during the King riot.. I went to Nam in June 68 and was an NCO squad leader in the First Army Infantry. I did 6 months duty in Nam whereupon I was awarded 2 Bronze Stars w/V device for Heroism in ground combat. As a result of those awards I was inducted into The Ohio Military Hall of Fame for Valor in the class of 2018. I married my true love in 1973 We had a Daughter in 1974 and a Son in 1977. years this October and retired from the airline industry in 1994. I spent the next fifteen years as a Corrections Officer for North Royalton, OH. Police Department and also a corporate security officer for GM, and Progressive Insurance, DuPont Chemical, and National City Bank. I finally retired from the workplace in 2009 and am enjoying it very much. We travel a lot every year as a family and love every moment. My family and I have resided in Parma, OH for the last 24 years. During my 30 years of employment in the Aviation Industry, I have traveled to Guam, Alaska, Japan, Hawaii 4 times, Barbados, Nassau Bahamas, London, Paris and Holland.
