John's Story
Life
I am a real estate investor and currency trader. I live in Delaware part of the year and St. Augustine, Florida part time.....I am married with 7 children and 11 granddaughters. I drink from the fountain of youth while in St. Augustine and am still waiting for it to kick in!!!!! I now have 2 great grand sons and a great granddaughter .It was great seeing old (not real old) friends at the class reunion at Cavaliers Country Club...Can we really have been away from Conrad that long! Even now the Conrad girls are all still HOT !!!! I hope that all of the majorettes and cheerleaders will be suited up at the next reunion...Every time I speak with someone from other schools that are our age they always say how sexy the Conrad girls were(AND STILL ARE...MY WORDS) Going to Alaska again in July, what a beautiful place except for the rubbing the noses part(Eskimo lovemaking).. I have traveled to Alaska many times and it is Heaven on earth to me. The old railroad in Skagway is a trip that rises over 3000 feet into the snow and mountain passes hardly wide enough for a mountain goat...what a thrill...I recommend it to all,,,,I am planning a land trip to Alaska in early 2011 to get up close and personal with some grizzlies and moose or mooses or meese however you say it....I just love a life of adventure...I could never sit behind a desk.....that's why I worked in construction for 30 years and loved it...Hope to go to Italy in the near future to trace my family roots so I am learning to speak Italian.Recently returned from Puerto Rico....what a neat place.....San Juan is really a sight to see es...Expand for more
pecially for a history buff like me....The old forts are unbelievable...how they could build like that 400 years ago is so impressive..
Just went to the 50th reunion on Saturday Oct 8 2011...got to tour Conrad in the morning...I see they have a plaque in detention hall with my name on it...lol It was so great to see old friends again and so sad to see so many have passed on to their eternal reward with God....I have to commend the members who put the reunion together ...what a great job and how they managed I don't know but it was great.....Got to see my old friend Paul Lowden who has done great out in Las Vegas.....could not happen to a nicer man...They have scheduled a 55th five years from now....sure hope I am around to see old friends then. They have a museum in Conrad now and it was interesting to see so many friends....they have a nice big picture of Diane Bishoff in her majorette suit , she was so talented and it is an honor that they remember her.....My wife and I are heading up to Alaska on June 7 for the 6th time in as many years......what a great place...going to Icy Strait Point where you have to sign a hold harmless agreement that you can be eaten by a grizzly bear, a wolf or killed by a whale...can't wait Recently returned from Alaskai on a cruise and fly in June 2012 and loved it...lions and tigers and bears oh my....went to Niagara Falls last week...it was cool especially the Maid of the Mist boat up to the Falls....going on a Caribbean Cruise in December...looking forward to it...gotta have something to look forward too.God has blessed me in so many ways...
