Jack's Story
After leaving Brown County, I attended college for a short while, only to drop out and join the US Army. Upon returning from Viet Nam, I married a girl who had been one of my classmates in second grade at Johnstown Public School. I re-enlisted, and invested the next 17 years serving in various places across America and around the world, before retiring in December, 1986.
My wife and I raised four older brothers for our daughter. One of our sons died in 1995 at age 19. The remaining children have given us, to date, four grandsons and two granddaughters. One son is involved in missions work in South Texas and Mexico; one is a careerist in the US Navy; one works construction and our daughter is a foreclosure agent for a major mortgage services company.

lan to stay until full retirement at age 146 :) .
My greatest passion in life is introducing people to the Real Jesus Christ...not some religious facsimile of who some people imagine He is. Seeing people's lives transform and knowing that I had some miniscule role to play in it is the greatest joy I can imagine.
Beyond that, as empty-nesters, my wife and I take delight in maintaining a close relationship with our progeny.
Currently I am hoping to move to the Ozarks, either Arkansas or Missouri.
Perhaps someday we will return to Brown County and renew some old acquaintances. Hope to see you there. In the meantime, it is great to already have become reacquainted with some of you through classmates.com.
Since I posted the above history several years ago my wife, Alice, passed away and now I am remarried. I have not only gained a new wife, but with her also came more children and two grandchildren. They are an absolute delight to have in my life.
Fully retirement from gainful employment, I now invest much of my time in ministry.
