Jack's Story
Life
Boy, how time flies! Pushing 50 soon! I get some relief knowing my 10 year old has Mrs. Luberecki as an occasional substitute teacher (she was my 4th grade teacher). Anyway, I have a 10 and 12 year old and we live in Endwell. I graduated from Ithaca College with a Finance degree and did grad work in the Phd Economics program at SUNY B. I had quite a departure from high school in that I actually studied hard and had top grades, and played varsity sports; a late bloomer I guess. I spent 20 years with Morgan Stanley before moving my practice to Wachovia Securites in Vestal last year where I am a Certified Financial Planner, and hold a VP title. My vocation demands a lot of time but gives me plenty of descretion over my schedule to pursue R&R. I am no stranger to a fishing rod (trust me, fishing is the excuse, not the reason), and I've traveled many places in search of aquatic creatures. I also amuse myself with season tickets to Syracuse Basketball and Football. Any SU fans out there? A...Expand for more
nd, as a sure sign of middle age, I played keyboards with a classic rock band last year and pursue Jazz piano currently; I guess all those years of chorus/band with Mr. Cironi, and Mr. Alamo/Fontana paid off. During the winter I play tennis on Monday's (our league's 28th year) and enjoy building spinning and fly fishing rods with a slight artistic flair. I have a personal mission as a volunteer spokesperson for Organ Donation and Transplant. Currently less than 30% of families make the decision to donate a loved ones' organs. Currently, 90,000 people wait for life saving organs. And so, I try to get people to think about donation ahead of time. Talk to your family and let them know how you feel. Your loved ones make the final donation decision, so even if you carry a donor card (or note it on your drivers license) if your family says NO, the donation won't happen. If you are a member or an organization in need of a speaker, just let me know! Please join in and create your own profile!
