Jack's Story

College jackiu at yaho - fill in the rest to contact me. After USC, I went and did a Masters in Saxophone performance at the Eastman School of Music/University of Rochester. After Eastman, I went to Indiana University/Bloomington for doctoral work. I did 2 years, then took a music teaching job (before finishing the doctorate - massive student loans you know!) in my birth state in Charleston, SC. Was going to move to NYC after two years, but got a house through HUD's "Teacher Next Door" program (they paid for 1/2 the house for me to stay and teach for another 3 years). While in SC I got certified in instrumental music, k-12, and will finish a Masters in Secondary School administration at the Citadel in June, 2004 (today is May 25, 2004). Having fullfilled HUD's contract, I plan to leave to teach in Europe for the fall and rent out my house. I hope to teach in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Berlin, or London (th...Expand for more
e people in Scandanavia are sooo attractive). Eventually, I may return to finish the doctorate, but it's not a high priority. Instead, when I get back from Europe in 1-2 years, my goal is to go to NYC (you know, saxophone, jazz, night life, etc.). Hopefully I'll have met someone in Europe to settle down with, because when I was in NYC in January riding the subway I thought, "Damn, everyone's ugly on this subway. I wouldn't sleep with any of these people!" On the other hand, if you're on the subway in Stockholm or Copenhagen and you don't like the person to your right, all you have to do is turn to your left and there will be sitting a 10. No joke! By the way, the Brittish, as a general rule, are NOT attractive! Although there are some exceptions. Nonetheless, what they lack in looks, they make up for in coolness. There is probably no hipper city on Earth than London - just like Austin Powers and more.
