Jack's Story
Life
I have two daughters, a son, and two grandchildren. Following college and grad school I spent 28 years in the Army (active and reserve) as a Social Worker. I retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1998. Following my release from active duty I've worked as a clinician, educator, the CEO of a large outpatient mental health agency, and an inpatient psychiatric hospital. me as a therapist with Jewish Family & Children’s Service in Phoenix. I became involved with the Humanistic Jewish movement about 20 years ago and enrolled in a rabbinic program. I was ordained in 2010 and currently serve as the rabbi for a congregation in Tucson.
I am married to Sharon Tolman (from Providence) and we live in Tempe Arizona during the cooler months and escape to the mountains of Prescott Arizona during the hot months.
