JACK's Story
Right after graduation I moved over to central Oregon (Prineville) and 6 months later met my future wife of now, in June, 45 years. We have 2 boys, the oldest diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy when he was a senior in high school. He managed to live on his own for about 8 years until he was forced to move in with us. He is now 43 years old and we are all suffering this slowly debilitating disease along side him. The youngest works as an engineer for Pacific Power. silently sort of knew I would end up back where I really belong. We have a beautiful place on 10 acres in the woods out in Sams Valley. Is like a big wildlife refuge up here. Not many places like this one backed up to BLM and at the end of a 2 mile road. Worked road construction, owned a Clothing Store, Chimney Sweeping service and Trucking company. Rode snowmobiles and had boats, both fishing and speed boats. Still enjoy fast cars and sort of living on the edge, especially at our age! Plan on doing some volunteer work soon as I find where I might do the most good.
