Workplace
After leaving school I worked at Ford Rawsonville for several years (on the line), with a 2 year break for military service. I also worked/owned several part time electronic repair shops during that period. After attending college I got the computer bug and went to work for Digital Equipment Corporation in 1981 in several capacities. In the late 90's Digital Equipment Corporation merged with Compaq computer I continued working for them as a Network Consultant's role. Hewlett-Packard in 2001 and I was an HP employee until 2003. Since then I have been an independent consultant helping multiple small to medium business define and meet their needs in the world of information technologies. I also work as a contract instructor for HP, teaching HP technology to HP's partners and employee's worldwide.
I formed RuralReach.com in 2003 to provide internet service to rural families. I sold the company in 2017 and became the CTO instead of the owner. We now serve 500+ families in Washtenaw, Jackson and Ingham counties.
My wife Susan and I live in Chelsea and have been married for 37 years. We have 3 children and 7 grand children. Our three granddaughters attend Lincoln schools.
