I went to too many schools in too many states. Consequence of growing up career Marine Corps. I remember some people from Crane School in Yuma, Arizona. Arizona and New Mexico have got to be 2 of my fav states. Crane School is pretty far back there. That would be 1967-1971, 5th grade - 8th grade. I would have gone to Yuma Union High, but moved to Virginia Beach where I was at Kempsville Junior High and Kempsville HS, class of '75. Kempsville was a pretty good place to be. One thing I hated about school, both at Crane and Kempsville, was PE class. Basically because I really could not run well. Turns out I haved one leg shorter than the other, just enough so that if I stand up straight the right leg doesn't exactly touch the ground, and that leg is also twisted a little outward from the knee down. It does not make for good running, and that is why I was never good in sports and never tried out for any team. Of course, no one ever bothered to check this out when I was a kid, and the general response to my problem was always some for of put down, even from the PE teachers, so PE was the one thing I truly hated. My chiropractor in New York tried to fix that problem a few years ago, but no go. Was always a slow reader and not so good with math.
