Jackie's Story
I was born in South Florida and grew up in Daytona Beach and South Daytona. I want to Highlands Elementary, Mainland Jr and a short time at Mainland Sr. Quit and went to High school program at DBCC. Quit again got married 1969, started family, first born Son 1970 in Daytona. We moved for a few years to Amarillo TX. Second child Daughter, born in Amarillo 1975 hospital on Rt66, Finished High school.
We moved back to Daytona area 1978. Worked full time until 1980 when I went back to school, graduated DBCC with Honors AA. Taught art in a privet school two years. Wasn't for me went back to retail. Moved to Deland. My husband of 30 years said he didn't want to be married any more. Yes there was another woman much older but she was able to finan...Expand for more
cially care for him. I went back to school and became a Phlebotomist. The divorce was final in Feb 2001. Started the dating thing 2004 remarried 2005. We had four very happy years before he passed a blood clot and died 4 years and 31 days after our wedding day. A month before he passed I had lost my job due to the cut backs and very poor state of country's finances.
I just found out Dec 2008, I had breast cancer. I am happy to tell you I'm cancer free 9 month 12-09. Boy am I looking forward to 2010!!
My son is single and daughter is married with one son. They all live in Dunnellon. Grandson has playes Baseball played for about 8 years now, also great guitar player. He of course is very special to his grandmother. Working again retail sales.
