Jackie's Story
I only went to California Junior High for 9th grade Sept. '51 to June '52.
The fall of '52 I started at
Mc Clatchey High School in Sacramento. Around end of Oct. or early Nov. we moved to Umatilla, Oregon where I finished my sophmore year. My Dad worked on McNary Dam on the Columbia River. May '53 went to Europe with my real Father, when I got back we were moving to Montana for the summer on a job, then fall of '53 to Tehachapi, Ca. for a job at a new quarry in Tehachapi. Stayed in Tehachapi till 1960.
I got married to Richard Vasquez in '54 and had 4 children of that union.

In 1974 I married Steve Rave and together we have one son. You could say 3rd. time was the right time. We have been married 36 years this June.
We have lived in the Coachella Valley the whole time.
All of the children 4 boys and 3 girls are grown and some have children of their own. I have 8 grandchildren and 3 great grands.
At California Junior High I was a bit shy at first, as you can see we moved every year like the Military only my step Dad was in construction.
I remember the school as being 3 stories and on quite lovely grounds. Since I lived about 10 miles from the school, I rode the city bus system then walked several blocks.
