Life
I've been happily married to Stan for over 46 yrs., have one married daughter, and a single daughter. I have 3 grandchildren, 2 girls ages 13 and 10, and a boy age 6. Have stayed in the Phila. area, now living on the Main Line for over 35 yrs. Love music and play piano and sing, my husband plays drums. I have a Cavachon dog (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Bichon mix) and a cat. Worked part-time 'till 9 yrs. ago as an Ophthalmic technician. Now work out at a health club and walk in Valley Forge Park a lot. Have traveled extensively in the Southwest U.S., did the Atlantic crossing both ways and visited the Mediterranean on board the Queen Mary II in 2005. I really enjoy my computer and love going on line, esp. to Classmates to look for old friends. I love working on Reunions and have worked to create many.
These days, I enjoy listening and calling in to my favorite radio program,...Expand for more
"Remember When" on "The Big Talker 1210" Saturday nights at 10. I count Steve Ross, Jimmy Murray and Steve Friedman "Mr. Movie", all from the show, among my friends. I have been named the "Neighborhood Correspondent" and I call in regularly. I enjoy looking back at the past. The show can be heard from anywhere in the world by going online to "thebigtalker1210.com" and clicking on "LISTEN".
Workplace
I was trained as a medical office assistant at Peirce Jr. College and have always worked for doctors. My first job was with Edwin U. Keates, M.D. who is an ophthalmologist. His brother Dr. Richard Keates and his father, Dr. Harry K. Katz were also my employers. I worked for a short time in the radiology department of Germantown Hospital but for most of my working life for Jeffrey I. Katzman, M.D. who trained me to be an ophthalmic assistant/technician between the years of 1983 and 1998.
