Jackie's Story

Life LIFE BIOS FOR JACKIE LEE LARGE... (scroll down for Angela) I was born in January of 1936. My dad died when I was two. It was tragic and changed everything. My grandma raised me. My mom remarried and I had a brother. We did lots of things together, but I won't bore you. :o) I got married and had two kids. I messed things up and got divorced when they were young kids. I wish I could say "I'm sorry", but they probably wouldn't believe me and I probably can't blame them. I had another child. She's the one writing this. I wasn't there for her either, leaving her when she was only two with no word on what happened. As I said, I made probably more mistakes than the average. I loved art and photography. I didn't work much and seemed to get into trouble easily. My life was cut short in 1971, at 36 years old. To those reading this, don't feel sorry for me. If I could tell you anything, it would be to learn from me. Things could have been different. I didn't have to be the way I was. I had choices and didn't make the right ones. It is important to be ready to meet your Maker, as I found out. LIFE BIOS FOR ANGELA... Obviously, I finally found my dad. :o) For those that knew me, that was important. Life has gone well... God is good! I've got a couple of kids, was guardian over another, and now guardian over my grandma. I still love drawing. I'm involved with outreach, kids, and people. Yes, I finally got animals! Boy, did I ever! I always loved playing with caterpillars and befriending stray animals (even though I was allergic). I have a pet rescue too! I've got cats, dogs and a fish pond. I've had cats, dogs, ferrets, chinchillas, red-tailed boa, ball python, squirrels, raccoons, guinea pigs, rats, mice, gerbils, hamsters, bunnies... and yes, they were all here at one time but most were waiting for adopters and no, the rodents were NOT snake food! Many people believe I'm a nurse and a vet, but I'm neither (yet). School SCHOOL BIOS FOR JACKIE... I attended St. Ladislas thru the 8th grade. My daughter is writing this and really doesn't know anything else about me, so it's a bit difficult to say much else. :o) SCHOOL BIOS FOR ANGELA... I attended Temple Christian thru 5th grade. There was a major teacher dispute with contracts and I was one of the kids yanked out. I then went to the Mad River Schools, where I didn't fit in at ALL. I only wore dresses and didn't own many jeans. Those I had were either used or hand made, so you can imagine how things went for me. I had been raised in a Christian e...Expand for more
nvironment, sheltered, and I guess we were poor though I didn't know it then. I wasn't very outgoing and people probably thought I was either shy or a loner. Truth be told, most of us felt the same way I think. Two teachers stand out in my education who influenced me a great deal. Mr. Rado (Stebbins) and Mr. Crawford (Mad River Jr. High). They were very good teachers who may not have known how much they really helped me, but I will never forget them. Before I graduated, I was married, had a house, and a job. I thought I knew everything. Boy was I wrong! That marriage lasted a couple of years. Mr. Rado was right... I shouldn't have done it. I can say, however, that I honestly believe I did it for the right reasons. I remarried two weeks after the divorce to someone I had grown up with (not from Stebbins though). I never went to college (yet). Who knows what the future holds... Workplace JACKIE'S WORK BIO... I did a lot of odd jobs, but didn't really work a lot. People will probably remember me most because of my lack of work, which is unfortunate. I would rather have a good time than work. I did have a camera shop for a short time, and I did work for a car wash for a little while. Of course, if I could do things over, it would be different, but it's a bit late for that now. ANGELA'S WORK BIO... Well, I worked since I was 16 and loved it. When my second child was born with a hole in the heart, I decided to stay home so I could monitor her health. I was self employed for 15 years doing child care, pet rescue, and volunteering for outreach, operating a clothing closet/food pantry, and helping people in general. I am always doing something, tend to be a perfectionist, drive people crazy, am a bit obsessive compulsive (hey, I've come a long way though!), and usually have at least 5 different things going on at one time. I've been given labels like "over-achiever" and "angel". I'm definitely not an angel... so somebody is confused! I'm no longer quiet like I was in school. In fact, I really have to be careful that I don't make a 5 minute call into a 30 minute one. I'm going back to work now that my children are older. I don't know what I'll be doing... I love so many different things. I know God will figure out where I should be... Military JACKIE'S MILITARY BIOS... I was in the reserves for a while, and was honorarily discharged. It's a good thing too. If I hadn't been, I wouldn't probably have even had a marker for my grave. ANGELA'S BIOS... There is none... didn't do anything with military.
