Jackie's Story
Life
I am married to Steve, we have a son born July, '00 and a daughter born May, '05.
I am living in Champaign, IL, the home of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Been here since 1983. It's alright, although sometimes it would be nice to be around mountains, oceans, etc.
Given that we have small children, we don't get out that much. You can find me here and on LiveJournal (jegie). Hey, I even have MySpace and Facebook accounts! I really suggest FB, there are a lot of folks from Courtland there. I love to hear from people, drop me a line!
School
Well, after my High School experience, I thought I wanted to major in music. Once I got st...Expand for more
arted, I realized that I was not all that thrilled with the music "thing" after all.
Instead of wasting any more of my money on tuition, I started working full-time and took classes that were interesting to me. Before too long, I was on my way to a Marketing degree.
Workplace
With the exception of my retail days after high school, I have been working in the software industry.
From early 1995 until September 2002, I was in Sales and Marketing for a company acquired by Intel Corporation in 2000. I am still with Intel, but now in addition to some Marketing, I do administrative work, Office/Building Management and serve as the local Public Affairs contact.
