Jack's Story
Life
For those who are interested, I am currently a Chemical Process Engineer with MATRIC, a small technology based company based in South Charleston, WV. It's very exciting, developing new technologies and putting them into real world situations. Prior to this I was at the Atlantic Greyhound FCU for awhile doing financial services work (definitely a change of pace for me, much needed at the time). Prevously I was Vice President of Operations for a small chemical blending company called Poca Blending LLC in Nitro, WV. And before that I spent about 24 years at mega chemical companies FMC, Union Carbide and Dow. Smaller companies work better for me, I think, at this stage of my career. The experience and contacts gained during the early and mid stages, though, has proven invaluable.

She has been putting up with me for over 27 years now. It's been mostly a good ride for us, though as with most relationships, there have been a few bumps in the road. It's how you deal with those, I think, that determine the character of the individual and also the couple. We have two boys; one is a Marshall graduate (Adam) and one is graduating in May from the University of Charleston (Ben). Both of them played soccer in high school and were team captains; Ben was named first team All-State twice while at Nitro High and continued his career at UC where he was a two year captain. They are now moving on to the next stage of their lives; hopefully we have given them a solid foundation.
