Life
Hello Friends,
After MD Collins HS, I entered Morehouse College where I majored in English. Loved the Morehouse experience!!! Got married right after college to a phenomenal woman from Louisiana who just happened to be visiting her girlfriend in Atlanta at Spelman College. We met at a graduation party at Diamonds and Pearls ( I believe that was the name then), a club, and neither of us did the club thing...talk about fate and God working and destiny!!! Long distance dating works, especially if you work part time at Delta Airlines while a college student. HA! We dated a year and were married in June of 1993, so I have been married 14 AMAZING years. I have worked in the academic world and the corporate world. When I was downsized off of one of my corporate "gigs," I switched gears and got a "hook up" from a famous friend to work in the entertainment industry, working with wardrobe on a couple of big world tours for TLC and Sade. y life, along with my wife who also got the "hook up" and was assistant to our famous friend. When my wife and I decided to settle down and buy a house, we added two kids to the equation and are blessed to have a 3 year old boy and a one year old girl. We also have a cat. For the past 6 years, I have worked in cancer research and education at Morehouse School of Medicine. My office is in the old hood in East Point and I live in Holly Springs, above Woodstock, GA in Cherokee County. My wife, Monique, after the TLC career, enrolled in culinary school, got her degree, is getting another bachelor's culinary degree now, is adjunct faculty at her culinary college, owns a personal chef business, and has been featured on FoodTV twice. She is a truly phenomenal woman. I am a very lucky man. We are just two busy, active, sometimes tired, thirtysomethings trying to keep up with the demands of homeschooling two toddlers, paying a mortgage and keeping each other and our God happy.
