Jacky's Story
Life
Life today is a far cry from what it was in high school. I am about to get married to my best friend and love of my life, jason. We have set our wedding for July 8, 2006. I had a little girl, Sierra in May of 2000. Though she is not Jason's biologically, he is the only father she has ever known and has taken her in as his own. I love him all the more for it! I bought a house in March of 2004, a great accomplishent for a single (at the time) mom. We have 4 pets: 2 dogs (a rotti/lab X, Brock and a pug, Ike) and 2 cats (Jasper & Mookie).
School
If I had school to do all over agin, would I do it? I am torn between saying yes and no. If I could go back as the person I am now, I would in a heartbeat. But I wuold never do it again as the person I was back then. I am a strong, independent person now. I have grown my own voice, and, to be honest, I would love to go back in time and give a few certain people a piece of my mind (you know who you are, I am sure). But I have moved beyond the hurt a few ignorant people caused me back then. My memories of high school were once filled with hate, tears and rage, but no more. When I look back on my school years, I now remember the good friends I had, the memories I made with them and the strength that the individuals mentioned above gav...Expand for more

College
Well, I went to Johnson State for a semester after graduating high school. I was in a bad state of mind back then, and into a lot of not-so-good stuff. I left school and became pregnant. A decision I could never regret because I now have the most beautiful little girl I could have ever asked for. During the summer of 2005, I did begin taking online courses in Early Childhood Education through CCV...and guess what....I am getting staright A's....Go figure! Once I finish my associates, I hope to move on to my bachlors in Education and ultimatly a masters in Early Childhood. I hope to use my education to open an Early Ed Center one day.
Workplace
After jumping from job to job since graduation, I ended up working at for the local school district. I hold many job titles here: Administrative Assistant, Medicaid Clerk, EPSDT Clerk, Child Count Coordinator and occasional Substitute Preschool Teacher. To say the least, it can be a busy and demanding job at times, but I love it. I get to work for the benefit of special needs and early ed children. It is a job that is quite emotionally rewarding, and I plan to remain here for as long as I can! I am also a Daisy Girl Scout Leader. I am currently in my 1st year of doing this job and I have enjoyed every moment of it.
