Jacob's Story
Life
I am happily married to my wonderful wife Amanda. We have four kids; Jacob Jr. (14), Caleb (10), Addisyn (4), and Gavin (1). We also have one rescued dog Macy (Golden Retriever). We recently relocated back to the Kansas City Metro area.
Amanda is a Registered Veterinary Technician and is currently seeking a BSN degree to become a people nurse. I spent 4 years in the United States Army as a Military Policeman. I have a Police Science Certificate and spent 11 years in Law Enforcement in the Kansas City and Springfield, Missouri Metro areas. I have a Missouri Department of Public Safety Class A Certification. I obtained many other certifications throughout my carrier including Missouri Department of Public Safety Instructor Certification, Certified Drug Recognition Expert, National Highway & Traffic Safety Administration DWI & Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Instructor, DWI Checkpoint Supervisor, Missouri Dept of Health & Senior Services Type II Certification. r. I am also a Remote Control Operator and a Locomotive Servicing Engineer. Basically those licenses allow me to operate remote control trains (Real not toys) and I can operate ("drive") engines that are not attached to trains.
My family means everything to me and all of my free time is spent with them. We enjoy outdoor activities like biking, fishing, hiking, and camping. We are not tree huggers but we do enjoy nature and animals. We have rescued many animals and found them new homes. My boys love videogames and I do enjoy them still on my Xbox 360.
I am extremely happy with where I am in life. I have an excellent career and family life. I have been blessed in so many ways. I have done and seen many things that most people never get to experience. I have seen many wonderful and horrible things in my Law Enforcement career. I have some wild stories to tell and have done some really crazy stuff. Wayy too much to list here.
My mother died from breast cancer in 2004. It was hard to deal with and sometimes still is. I think Breast Cancer causes are great and support all the efforts being done to find a cure.
