Jacqueline's Story

Life Hello! Here's a little something about me. In my spare time I love to read, write poems, take long walks, going to the movies, out to eat, to a sporting event or even a concert. I love sports. I love football and basketball. I love to decorate the house, I like to cook, I also like to sing. Although i'm no Beyonce or Janet Jackson, but I say I'm quite the average singer. Nothing serious. I see myself as a laid back person, down to earth, funny, love a good conversation. I can say that I am a Giver and not a receiver. I always think of the other persons' feelings, and always there to give advice. I am always the one who will be there whenever you need a helping hand. I'm easy-going, I'm not the shy person i used to be. I'm more open, direct, and to the point. I can be very intuitive person. Personally, I can be a very private person and don't like people getting all in my business. Right now, I'm not in any relationship. I feel that like the saying goes....GOOD THINGS COME FOR THOSE WHO WAIT. So, I'm not the type to jump in anything too soon. In my younger days i was shy and inexperienced and that was a different story. But, Now, I'm older, much wiser, and more stronger and in control. And to me there is no such thing as the "RIGHT ONE". We all have our imperfections. So, to me in a relationship, when agreeing to commit, one should know what they're getting themselves into. And except each others faults, and differences, and make adjustments so that way there would be no regrets. One must realize that there are going to be ups and downs, but as far as cheating in a relationship then one should not be committed. that's how i feel about it. I'm very real and concerned when in a commitment. I give my all. And would do what I can to make that person happy. I am very content with that. Otherwise, I just love a good laugh. I love to make everyone else laugh as well. Right now I would love to date. I am single, available. Now, being an older but wiser person, I am ready to love someone and someone to love me. Wholeheartedly and unconditionally. Right now I have things that need to be taken care of. like my weight problem that i have. Which now I have lost. Slowly but surely. Through the years, my weight went up and down. To lower my cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugars. I really need to concentrate on getting back into shape. I don't want to have diabetes. I do have a chance to get back to a decent and proportionate weight. anyway enough of that. I do have four brothers. Three sons, 28,25,and 16. Two went to college, and one just started high school. I have no daughter, which at one time i was very saddened because that's what i always wanted. But, i do have a god-daughter 5yrs. old. Two grand-children, a boy 9yrs. old, and a girl, 6yrs old. So, I'm good. being 54yrs.old is a blessing. I Thank God for keeping me here this long. And as far as marriage is concerned......well, yeah eventually I do want to one day. But, right now It's just me myself and I. The person That inspired me was Mr. Jorgensen from social studies class. And this lady from music who teached at Parkman. This one teacher from Parkman also, was an inspiration to me was a lady I forgot her name. she came to the store I worked at. She was a science teacher or I think. I just can't call her name right now. But she was a terrific school teacher. Everbody liked her. Oh yeah, My cousin Dee Dee Abernathy Swiams went to Parkman as well as King. Her and friends.... At Rufus King High school we had a lot of relatives , and friends went there. You know, those were the SuperFly Days.....Diamond in the back, Sunroof top, dig in the scene with a gangster lean.....wooo wooo !!!! Tho you may not drive a great big Cadillac, gangster white walls, TV Ante...Expand for more
nna swayin in the back, You may not have..... a car at all. But remember brothers and sisters. I can't remember that one verse from the song but it was titled," Just be thankful for what you got." I think Curtis Mayfield sung the song. I lived up here in Milwaukee since I was three months old. I attended Lee St. School, where I saw Oprah on ocassionally She came back and forth from Milwaukee to Tennessee and Mississippi. She was late at times because her MOM use to always send her to the side entrance of the school. Now that side entrance is the main entrance. I always saw that Oprah was level headed and very much an intellect. Very well spoken and polite. She was the sociable one. I'll never forget that. Now she's this Big Star/Actress with her own talk show. I knew she was going to be somebody. I just knew that. I also went to Twenty-First St. School as well. I also met Michael Jackson and his Family a long time ago in Chicago. It was the mid-late 60's, and they were traveling here and there to gigs in the Chicago area. So I always saw them because their Aunt used to live across the street from my Aunts house. Michael and Marlon use to walk me to the candy store.....that is when ever they got a chance to go outside to play. Their Father Joe knew my folks in Chicago so, we sometimes played together. Michael and marlon that is. Those were my little friends back then, now a days...I don't think they even remember me. But anyway, that was the good ol days. I still love me some Jacksons and Michael and Janet. I support them whole-heartedly in all that they do. I support Jamie Foxx too. He is one of many great actors that I love to see on the movie screen. And How can I ever forget my Baby girl....Aaliyah. The greatest little angel I ever saw. She was indeed an Icon. Along with the best of them. At one time in my life I wanted to be an Actress/Singer/Songwriter. But, I was just too shy. I did graduate from Modeling school when i was 13. But was too shy. I entered in the Miss Black Teen Wisconsin Pageant at 13, and backed out because I was just too shy and couldn't face all those people. My model instructor, Marie Gaines wanted to get me in with Ebony Fashion Fair Shows, and she was on the board of directors there. I again backed out. I really saw myself missing out on the better of things because i was so shy. Now, I am somewhat outspoken and usually be the first to strike up a conversation. I love writing poems and short-stories. I wrote this short-story called "THE NIGHT ON BLUEBERRY HILL." Which is a very romantic story. I always wanted to be an actress when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were right. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my kitchen and add on a dishwasher. My dream home would be totally remodeled. If I won $100 million, I'd give 1/4 of it to charity, then spend the rest on remodeling, investing and vacationing. My hero? I happen to have more than one. My MOM, My Lord and Savior, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Barack and Michelle Obama. I try and not have it out with anyone. I walk out and get some fresh air.. I'm a sports fanatic. I love The Miami Heat in basketball, I love to watch womens basketball, and Football, The Packers. I love the pugs dogs and labs. I'm obsessed with history. I dress how I feel and i don't feel like my age. they only thing I feel is the pain..Lol I am currently working on writing my first book, and I'm on the 7th Chapter. I know that people ae going to love my book because it's al about Christian life. Although it will be Urban Christian Fiction, I hope it will sell. I want to finish and have my book on the shelves by the end of the year 2013. I also intend on working on writing Childrns books as well.
