I was great friends with Mandy King who lived in Weston Underwood but we did not, unfortunately, keep in touch and I would love to hear from her.
When I left School I worked in Midland Bank in Northampton, then Barclays in Newport Pagnell and Wolverton.
I married Harry Stevens in 1966 and we have two children, Jeff and Eleanor, and two grandchildren, Katie and Isobel (Eleanor's children. Jeff has no children)
I have worked in Estate Agency since 1976 but am now only a weekend worker because I still enjoy it, but am too old to cope with the full time stress which is related to the job.
My father was killed in a road accident while I was still at school, and Miss Full was especially kind to me at that time.
My mother is 93 and I am her 'carer'. She was widdowed twice more after my father died!
I was Secretary of Stony Stratford Art Society for over 30 years, and taught at Stantonb...Expand for more
ury Campus evening classes doing Watercolours for beginners for over 10 years. I still paint and exhibit at various Exhibitions all year round.
It is our Golden Wedding Anniversary in September 2016 and all our family are going to USA.
Friends from School are Vivienne Challinor, Marion LLewellyn, Bridget Overton, all of whom I see regularly although Marion lives in Canada. Viv and Bridget have been my lifelong friends.
My brother is Nick Lane who is three years younger than me.
I organised a reunion a few years ago and it was really lovely to see all the old faces again.
Remember the Coffee Hops? That is where I first saw Harry. He was going out with someone else who was older than me, and he was a fabulous dancer. I did not think for one moment that I would ever get a chance to go out with him but here we are nearly reaching our Golden Wedding. Where has all the time gone?
