Jacquelyn's Story
I hope old friends remember me as kind and considerate.
I never thought I would work at the things I did. I sold life insurance and real estate. I worked for Bombardier Aerospace, a major aircraft manufacturer in Canada, and enjoyed the work I did there very much. Who would have thought I would be an aircraft maintenance cost analyst?
I was born in Montreal Quebec and at the age of 6 weeks went "home" to Georgetown, B.G. in South America. At three, I had two bouts of malaria and typhoid. I was lucky my Mother was a Registered Nurse. So ALCAN (Aluminum Company of Canada) who employed my Father ordered my Mom and I back to Canada.
I lived in Colborne, Ontario until 1951, then Kingston, Ontario until 1986. I moved to Montreal, Quebec until 1992 and then lived in Newmarket Ontario until 2009. I then lived for a year in downtown Toronto with my son and his wife.
My dream was to have a house trailer in the country, and thanks to a friend from long ago I found a trailer for sale at Rideau Acres just north of Kingston, Ontario. My dream came true. I added two Shih Tzu puppies to my life in September. I lived with a friend and her h...Expand for more
usband until April 2012 with the pups. Funny how life is.....one of my puppies became ill and it was discovered she has deformed kidneys. After trips to Toronto to a specialized pet hospital, my little pup is now fattened up and happy. She has brought us all a load of love and we are thankful for her. I hope she has a long life, and proves those wonderful Vets are totally wrong. In the meantime I will enjoy every moment I have with her.
I have two children, Brent (44)and Adrianne(41), three and one third grand children Stacey(24), Josh (17) and Tyler(12), and my son and his wife are expecting their first child in October. I have three great grandsons, Parker almost 2 years old, Jesse 1 1/2 years old, and Ryley (6 months old). I would never have guessed I would be a grandmother and a great grandmother!
I have learned that companionship, trust and love is more important than anything. I love my family, decorative painting and gardening. I don't feel my age, although my eyesight isn't perfect, and apparently can't be helped, but I strive to have a young attitude.
I'd love to hear from old and new friends anytime!
Blessings. Jackie
