Jacquelyn's Story
I remember friends fondly from West High the older I get. This is my third marriage and we just celebrated our 20th anniversary. The past few year's have been very busy, I met Lee, he lived in KC and I was Minneapolis. I married and moved to Kansas City, lived there for 6 years and then on to Oklahoma City for 8 years, back to Minneapollis and then back to Oklahoma City. We live in a gated community in the city. I have always like city living since Minneapolis and have tried small town, but we always seem to be happiest with stores, shopping, good restaurants, orchestra, etc. My granddaughter, Hannah, is living with us for a while before she deploys. She deploys to Afghanistan in March, she has just finished her second year of college here and has been in the National Guard since her junior year. My kids, stiill living in a suburb o Minneapolis, no plans to come here to live, too hot! Which it is. I have not been home for two years, going to see the changes, in June of this year. I continue to stay in touch with lots of friends in Minneapolis from hight school and many year's of work....Expand for more
I miss Minneapolis downtown. Love the theatres there and orchestra. By the way I worked at Orchestra Hall at one time, when Neville Marriner was there. II worked for the manager and the personal manager of the orchestra. So became very familiar with classical music.
The first year's after high school went by fast, I am very content with these later years. I have no wish to go back. I am more content with myself and my life than my younger years. I love cats, good music, nice clothes, shopping and as far as religion, I have gone from Lutheran to Episcoplain!
I always wanted to be a dancer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a very bad idea. As it turns out, they were right, no rhythm.
have a cocktail after work, just one or two.
I guess, it would be Lee, he has helped me have peace of mind and to see places I never thought I would go. He has given me a security in myself that I never thought I'd have.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Jerry Joseph, because none of us have heard or seen him since 9th grade!.
It's not always about me
