Jacques's Story
Life
I arrived in LaSalle in 1948, I was eight years old, and lived in the house my grandfather built between 6th and 7th ave on LaSalle Blvd. I attended Ecole notre Dame du Sacre Coeur on Edward from 1948 till 1954, and then went to Ecole Secondaire LaSalle on 8th and Central until 1957 when I joined the Air Force.
In those days, I associated with both French and English (Bronx Park school) students.
Names I rember from that time are, Richard Leger, Gerry and Yvon Boudreau, Philip and Noel Leduc, Philip and Paul Laurendeau, Robert Lesage, Richard Lebuis as well as Bernice Didych and Rosemary Talenko, Sandra Lane, Albinus ???, and a girl named Pat who lived on 5th Ave, next door to dentist Le...Expand for more
Febvre, and many others whose names are just not coming to mind right now.
When I returned from the Air Force in 1960, I hung around with Norman Robitaille (deceased in car crash 60-61), Conrad Rigby, Jackie Higgins, Anita Lindroos, Denise Nadon, Barbara barton, Sandra Lane, Lorraine Woronoski, Joey Jotkus, Hazel Montgomery etc.
I marrierd in 1962 and moved to Quebec city in 1965 I came back to LaSalle in '72, separated, and then went 'globetrotting' until late '75. In 1980, I left for Alberta, re-married and went to West Africa 1983 -1986. I returned to Alberta 1986 where I finally retired from the petroleum industry in 2005.
