Jahmez's Story

Greetings Everyone, I am so happy to see so many of you utilizing this amazing website. It will make it so much easier for us to keep contact with one another and pass the word on to get ready for our 25th year class reunion. I hope all will be in attendance. I know that I will. It is with great sadness that I report we lost a friend, and to ME a brother, Mr. Stanley Lawrence Crawford. I know that he thanks you all for the honor you all bestowed upon him in making him our Senior Class Vice-President. Now that I have informed all about our collective lost, it is time to let everyone know what your Senior Class President has been up to since we departed through the Masconomet doors. I have been fortunate to experience LIFE in all of its wonder. I first went to Cornell University School of Hotel Administration where i double concentrated in financial management and property development. I also went to law school because of my bother. He was apt in getting into trouble. I attended the Washburn University School of Law. I was fortunate to complete that education in the fastest you could do it and that was two years six months. I then pursued my LL.M (master's of law) because one of my law professor's saw something special in ME. It was amazing. I attended the McGeorge School of Law in conjunction with the Salzburg Austria School of Law. I obtained my LL.M. in transnational business practice and completed an externship with the law firm of Lafili et Combrugghe in Brussels, Belgium. Once again, it was an ama...Expand for more
zing experience. Upon coming back to the United States, I took various legal jobs until I decided one day that I wanted to go to medical school. Needless to say, I went to the medical school I wanted to attend. I became a DO (a doctor of Osteopathy). If you have not heard of a DO, I would implore you to find out about us. We study medicine with a philosophy of healing. Besides regular medical school, we also are taught manual medicine. In-other-words, we learned to heal with our hands when pharmaceuticals should not be the modality of healing. I attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. It is there I joined the Army through its Health Profession Scholarship Program (HPSP) and the Army paid for my medical education. I am honored and proud to be a veteran of the United States Army. The experience will be with ME as long as I walk this Earth. All should know that Dr. Carrie Schmidt is also a member of the Army. She is a Neurosurgeon and lives in Hawaii. Now because of my suffering a vascular stroke, I have left the field of medicine. I am now obtaining my MBA in Sustainable Management through the University of Anaheim in conjunction with the Anaheim University Kisho Kurokawa Green Institute in Japan. I know this will be my LAST educational endeavor. So far, it is proving to be a wise and exciting move. Please feel free to email ME with any story you wish for ME to read and know. I thank you all and say, "It's been such a long time". Dr. Jahmez James-Antonio Reid, DO, JD, LL.M, MBA Candidate
