Jaime's Story

After High School, I got married in San Bernardino County of California 1979, my husband was in the USAF stationed at GAFB~~ but we divorced in '85. Had 1 child. I moved back to Houston, Tx in the 80's Where I worked as a professional vocalist in the piano bar/lounge gigs and hotel night clubs performing top 40/copy, hi/energy dance bands. Was on the road traveling around the U.S. for many years before settling down. Got into Contemp Christian music, recording & writing. In 1998 I remarried while living in Massillon, OH - we didn't make it to 10 years; ended in divorce '06. I now own a nail salon in town, here in Alliance, OH and I'm on my own. I have a website page for my nail salon on FB, it's under Jaime's Nail Designs Salon. You can check out our jewelry by typing AutismLoveHope dot com. to get to the website. My daughter, Lola Elena & I create home-designed jewelry for awareness causes and more. She recently got married, 1 have a 4 yr old grandson~with vision disabilities, he has been wearing glasses since he was 2 mos old. He's soooo cute, but my daughter does not want me to post a public photo on any of these internet sites. Have not been back to Baytown since my 20 yr reunion. I looked for my friend Richard Martinez aka: "Conrad Birdie", only to learn he had already passed away. We all had a blast doing "Bye Bye Birdie" on stage at REL H.S. I played the part of Rosie. ...Expand for more
I would like to find the woman who I was friends with at George Air Force Base, her last name was Sainz, or Saenz - I think it's Judy. I want her to know that the baby blanket/quilt she made & gave me at the baby shower is still around til this day! It's unrecognizable at this point + I do have a polaroid pic from the baby shower (on 2/14/81) with Judy and the blue blanket [baby boy gift - we thought it was gonna be a boy] that turned out to be a girl that I delivered on Apr 12th. My daughter wants her to know how much she has cherished it. If I could go back to my senior year of High school, I would've selected a class about the stock market and taken out stock in a computer company. I am honored to say that "WILD CHERRY" performed at our homecoming dance of '75 in the New Phila. H.S. gym. I have pics in the Delphian year book of myself and MaryAnn Forte & Charlie Quinones dancing. Isn't it something that we wore just regular school clothes to the Homecoming dance - and now look at the students spending HUNDREDS of dollar$ for the evening on their attire and accessories, hairdos' & transportation??? I did move around a lot thru all the years, but everytime I relocated, I met wonderful people along the way. I am in the book under Nail Salons, have been in business for myself here in Alliance, OH for 10 years. Thanks for stopping by to read my bio. -Jaime Cole-Mansfield Class of '78
