James(Jim)'s Story
Life
After Heidelberg American High School, I attended Texas A&M University as a member of the Corps of Cadets. It took me five years but only because I wasnÂt sure about my major(Wildlife & Fisheries, Sociology, then finally English for 170+hrs). I also got a TeacherÂs Certificate while waiting for my wife to graduate. After attending two 6-week Summer boot camps in Quantico, Va. and upon graduation, I was commissioned a 2nd Lt in the Marine Corps. While stationed at MCAS Cherry Point, NC as a Supply Officer, I decided to kill some time by getting a MS in Business Administration from Boston University. Professors were flown down every other weekend to teach both days. After four years active duty, my wife wanted her own career, so we decided to try the real world. I worked at the following companies after the Marines:

Supply Chain Mgr(98-present).
All the jobs were in high-tech electronics manufacturing except the last which is a service company. Get this, their service is Âdeath careÂ. Service Corporation Intl. is the largest consolidater in the world(funeral homes, cemeteries, crematoriums & flower shops)This was a drastic change for me from manufacturing and I think I need counseling. Ha!
Julie and I have been happily married for 26 years. I have two sons, one attending Stanford and the other is working for WalMart as an Import DC Mgr.
